Agent Mulder gains access to an apparent child kidnapping case that begins to parellel with eerie coincidence the dissapearence of his sister, Samantha.  During the investigation, Mulder receives a mysterious message from his mother, which may provide a connection between his family and the case.  Now even more vulnerable, Mulder is led to believe that supernatural forces are behind the child's disappearence until a real-life serial killer is apprehended.

When the missing girl and Samantha are not found among the killer's victims, Mulder and Scully join forces with a police-case psychic in an attempt to locate the girls.  But flawless investigative work must combine with guidance fram anoither realm in order for Mulder to finally reach the truth.
